Add Stress To Eat Less

Add Stress To Eat Less

Study from Journal of Neuroscience reveals that the more you stress, the less you eat.  Brain has hormone receptor called CRF2 which help to cure obesity.  These hormones suppress our hunger but at the same time raise our stress level.

Ever wonder what speeches, fires, first dates have in common?
The answer is all these things give stress that in turn limits our appetite. When we see fire in our building, food is the last thing that comes in our mind.

Hormones in the brain called corticotropin-releasing factors or CRFs regulate stress and appetite. These are the same hormones that are related to anxiety.

In a new research the drug industry found a hormone called CRF2 that cuts hunger without added stress. The holy grail right? It was, until the scientists took a closer look.

Research made at Journal of Neuroscience reveals when they eject CRF2 in rats their appetite was cut down to half but stress level increased tremendously. They get so nervous and stressed that they often knock themselves over while licking. Seems stress and appetite are an unfortunate combo.
